Salary reports: A realistic view of compensation

The basic output of the Salaries from Employeesservice is a salary report created based on data from real employees. They anonymously fill out questionnaires to verify the fairness of their wages. The data is cleaned of extremes and duplicates and processed into a clear payroll report using our intelligent model. The salary report is designed for HR specialists who need quality data to set fair and competitive salary conditions - whether when reviewing the remuneration of existing employees or when recruiting.

What does a salary report contain?

  • division of employee salaries into salary bands
  • the amount of salary for a specific job position with regard to industry, region, education, experience, company size and age
  • the division of salary into individual components (base salary, variable component, etc.)
  • an overview of non-financial benefits provided

Competency model

The competency model is used for job evaluation. The output is the classification of jobs into pay grades, allowing you to define work of equal value. Each position has predefined competency levels that you can easily tailor to your internal requirements.

Up to 17 factors are assessed, based on the Pay Transparency Directive.
You gain an overview of which pay grade each job belongs to and how you reward jobs classified within the same grade. The competency model enables you to view information on how you reward employees performing work of equal value, including from a gender perspective.

What you might be interested in about our methodology

Platy.cz collects data directly from employees. Every employee has an intrinsic need to know if he or she is paid fairly, and hundreds of people compare their salaries on our website every day. In this way, we naturally obtain data from various employees from various types of companies, from small family businesses to large multinational corporations.

The survey methodology automatically detects extreme values from the very beginning. These are assessed in terms of position and region. Extreme values are detected and do not enter further calculations. Experience has shown that 10% of input data do not pass this filter.

The methodology is ready for that as well. When a survey participant fills in the questionnaire more than once, the system detects the duplicate record and ensures that only one questionnaire enters the resulting calculations. We are very strict about this; the statistics say that 20% of the input data are removed precisely because of this duplicate filter. Only adjusted data are entered into the final calculations from which the reports are performed.

We calculate salaries using a smart model developed by Alma Career Slovakia, which takes into account the relationships between job positions, regions, company size, education, experience, and age. This model allows us to display reliable data even in cases where the number of respondents in a given sample is lower. Our smart model is designed to be able to determine the relevant salary level even in cases where input data for the required parameters is not available. Thanks to this, we provide high-quality salary data even for specific or less represented positions.

We compare our salary data with several sources, especially with salaries in job advertisements, but also with alternative suppliers of salary data.

The salary survey collects data continuously. Every day, 100–500 respondents join the survey, with only verified questionnaires entering the model. Data from new surveys is entered into the Salary Tool every quarter. However, thanks to our smart model, we are able to update the data every month. This ensures maximum data accuracy in our salary reports.

The list of job positions in the salary survey is based on the labor market and is constantly updated on the basis of suggestions from candidates and employers. The final list also reflects the number of employees in specific positions, as we take into account in particular the possibility of collecting a relevant amount of data. We avoid including very specific positions with a minimal presence on the labor market, as we could not guarantee the desired results. In such cases, we recommend looking for a more general or related position and taking into account the salary range.
